About Dr. Balliett
Dr. Balliett is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience helping adults lead healthier, more restful lives. She earned her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her Ph.D. from The University of Tulsa. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center, followed by a specialized postdoctoral residency in anxiety disorders and evidence-based psychotherapies at the San Diego VA Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Balliett brings extensive experience as a consultant and trainer and has supervised and mentored dozens of mental health trainees. She is also a published researcher with a focus on sleep and nightmares.
Dr. Balliett specializes in treating sleep disorders in adults and is deeply committed to tailoring behaviorally based sleep interventions to each individual in order to maximize effectiveness. Her clinical style is warm, curious, direct, and authentic—blending scientific rigor with a touch of humor to create a collaborative and supportive therapeutic experience.
